Billy Hurst

Billy Hurst came to New Hope in August of 2018. He previously served alongside his wife, Debbie with the International Mission Board of the SBC serving in Mexico, where he worked in theological education throughout Central America.

Billy graduated from Winthrop University with a BS in Business Administration. He completed his Master’s and Doctoral work at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Billy and Debbie have been married since 1994 and have two adult children, Hannah (Chris) and Luke.


His life verse is Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”

Richard Labor

Richard has been involved  with music from a young age, he led singing at a mission and sang with special meetings at several churches all while in high school.  in College at Kansas University he led music at Haskell Institute Mission and  youth revivals. while at Wichita State he simultaneously; led youth choir Bible Church, adult choir Central Christian

Church, congregational at University Baptist.

He has also been greatly involved in the  Orangeburg area leading full time music and youth.

Aaron came to New Hope in May 2020. He has an Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design from Coastal Carolina University. He was very involved in a college ministry while at Coastal called InterVarsity, where he led multiple Men's small group/ Bible studies and spear-headed many different outreach programs. He also spent a summer interning as a assistant Youth Pastor at All Saints church in Pawley's Island.
